Good 1440p G-sync Monitor? IPS or TN?

This is strictly for my gaming machine.

I was eyeing this monitor:

my video card will be the 1080ti (probably the Asus ROG Strix OC)

the response time is 1ms for TN panel, 4MS for the IPS panel. Would anyone know if there is a noticeable difference when playing FPS? I do own Battlegrounds.

Both are native 144Hz, 165Hz is achieved by OC
