Good 1440p monitor

I want to get into 1440p gaming and I’m on a budget. I don’t care about g-sync or freesync since I think it’s a waste of money. Im planning on using it (or then, most likely will get 2) for gaming for a year or so and then getting like an asus rog swift pg278qr after for a triple monitor setup. So basically what I’m asking is what’s a good 1440p monitor that won’t break the budget that I can use for gaming but isn’t top of the line because it will only later be used for productivity and not gaming. I’m currently looking at the asus pb277q but it seems like a scam since it’s such a low price for what seems like such a good monitor.

It just seems like a 1440p monitor with 75hz and 1ms response time wouldn’t be only 50$ more than a 1080p monitor with 144hz. I just feel like there’s something I’m missing, and what’s the refresh rate on the BenQ?
