Hello guys, today I have this question:
Can anyone recommend (out of first hand experience) a 1440p monitor that can finely run 1080p fullscreen without any real issues? I'm asking this becouse i want to buy a 27" 1440p monitor now, but I only have an older 1060 6gb GPU.I want to buy a good monitor now becouse atm I have a 23" 60hz 8ms one, and in the next year I'll upgrade my graphics card to something that will run 1440p fine. SO I'm buying that monitor now becouse If I bought an 1080p now, I'd have to buy another monitor for when I will upgrade my gpu, if you get me.
So I have a 1060 6gb running with an i7 8700k, and I would like to play competitive games such as, overwatch, csgo and apex at respectable fps. That's why I need a monitor thats 1440p but can do fullscreen 1080p w/o a problem. I've heard that there are monitors that can't do this, and others that can. That's why I'm asking for firsthand experience.
What I want in the monitor:
1440p, 144hz, 1-4ms delay, IPS panel, good reviews and respectable brand, and one that you know can run 1080p with games to get higher fps with my old GPU.
Thanks!
