Good 500 watt power supply good enough for this system?

Is a good name brand 500 watt power supply enough for an i5 4690 cpu, 16 gb ram, gtx 970, 1 tb sata3 hdd? The minimum wattage for the video card says 500w...is it safe to have the min.? Thanks
