I was thinking about motherboards and my friend had said that AMD processors are better for AMD video cards? Well, I was looking through processors and found a pretty good one for only $200 (AMD FX-8350 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition) and decided for it. I know that I need an AMD compatible motherboard so I was looking and found a perfect one for only $60! It's MSI brand and I know that they make amazing gaming laptops for a way better price/performance ration than Alienware. But still - $60? That seems like it would be a bit cheap. But it has 4.5 stars on Amazon? Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Socket-MicroATX-Motherboard-FM2-A75MA-E35/dp/B009HP42HQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383786501&sr=8-1&keywords=MSI+Socket+FM2

Which one? The Gigabyte? The one I shared is, and the gigabyte that kristianAA shared is as well. The MSI is to be avoided

That MSI board is not compatible, the socket for the 8350 is AM3+ not FM2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128565 - This Gigabyte is awesome, I run it with a FX 6300 and its super reliable. Gigabyte & Asus are the two top brands that can be trusted.

That 970 from MSI has a history of VRM failures & fires with the 8 core AMDs, but that gigabyte is good.

Would that motherboard be compatible with my CPU?

No DOUBT you got paid to say that :)

lol, I wish, nah, that came from experience - had to replace my board twice, but once I replaced my other two with the gigabyte GA 78LMT-USB3, its been awesome - even 'clocked my FX6300 @ 4200 MHz.
