I am a video editor that edits in 4K30 and 1080p30 with Davinci Resolve. How much DDR4 RAM would you recommend?

Specs-
CPU: Pentium G4560
GPU: MSI GTX 1050 2G
Mobo: MSI B250M Gaming Pro
Hard Drive: WD 1TB 7.2K RPM
PSU: EVGA 550W

Solution
16GB is probably good, but I would get a better CPU. Your render times will take forever, especially in 4K. Do you plan on gaming as well? If not, get rid fo the 1050 and get an i5 or switch out the motherboard and get an Ryzen 5 1500x or 1600 with a B350 motherboard.

I was leaning to the i5 7500K. I'm not gaming for now.

Wel I hopel you mean the 7600K, but if that's the case you want a Z270. If you are not gaming get rid of the 1050 from your budget for now. Use that savings to get a i5 and Z270 for overclocking. 16GB is a good starting for editing, and you should be good.

Here is the processor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZZJ1P0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Tu3fzbYJPP45V

I want the 1050 because then I will get a really smooth timeline and full frame playback when editing.

The 1050 has but so many CUDA cores to do that. If you are using the i5-7600 and 16GB you will be fine. Before I got my GTX 1060, I still had smooth frame rates. Mind you, I was using a Premiere Pro, not Sony Vegas or Da Vinci. If you change the settings to Mecury (I believe that's the term) then you should be using the CPU, which has more than enough juice. Render times will be long, but playback will be painless.

I had a i5-5200u and 8GB and playback was jumpy at time, but with the 6600K and 16GB, it was always smooth, even before the 1060.
