[SOLVED] Good and workable File Spliter needed

Hi people. I cannot afford a USB drive for this pc so I tried downloding some .dmg Mac OS files on a couple of DVDs and when I use the program GSplit it splits the file into 5 parts i think except it changes its format when it does it. So instead of having .dmg splitted files i get .gsd file format which don't work as CD OS boot files. I can see the files on the MacBook Pro but i cannot open or touch them, it is in a .gsd format.

Please tell me if you have any other and better solution i've been working on trying to download a Mac OS for a couple of days already and hours of research....

you can't just split a file for it to boot.

I have an external hard drive but it is filled with Data, would i have to format it if i was to use it??

yeah you would have to format it to used it. so all data will be lost.

and why can't you get a usb flash drive?

I don't have a job atm ..... so no income.
