I found some lists of cheap lcd monitors like the one on http://www.lcdmonitordeals.com, but does anyone have a specific recommendation for the best LCD monitor under, say, $300?

I just bought the Samsung 710N 17" LCD monitor for $330 (just a bit over your target price) from Amazon.com with free shipping and no tax. I havent received it yet though.

Here are its features:
- 1280x1024@75Hz max.
- 600:1 Contrast Ratio
- 300 cd/m2 Brightness
- 12ms Response Time
- Analog Connector (for a DVI connector go for the 710T which is about $100 more)

I was going to get the screen from Buy.com for $280+tax, but they have been receiving VERY bad ratings recently. I preferred a good seller than a cheaper price.
