[SOLVED] Good budget motherboard for ryzen 5 2600 oc to 4.2ghz

I plan to get ryzen 2600 and want to oc to 4.2ghz. What is the best budget good motherboard for oc ?
Can ryzen 5 2600 overclock to 4.2ghz with gigabyte b450 aorus m and cpu cooler scythe kotetsu mark ii, replace fan with Delta fan 113cfm ,10.92 mmh2o ?

That fan will probably be 45dB! I wouldn't want to have to live with that... Check some of the video reviews for high CFM delta fans ... Not for me.

Getting a ryzen 5 2600 to 4.2 is practically impossible since all ryzen cpus run into a point where they cant go any further even with unsafe voltage levels and immense heat output. This is usually around 4.0 ghz even with liquid cooling and expensive motherboards. That motherboard and cooler you listed should be able to overclock the cpu to 3.9 or 4.0ghz

How about of getting 2600x . With that mobo can get 4.2ghz ? Or i just get the i5 8400 or i5 9400f ?

ryzen 2600 @4.0 is reasonable. 4.2 you need a bit luck. Most 2600 chip that’s capable of 4.2 have turned into 2600x.

Likely it will never get 4.2 ghz on any motherboard but it will get close at 4.0 or so. After 4.0 ghz most ryzen cpus cant be pushed any faster. That board you listed should allow it to get to 4.0ghz.

The 2600x cannot get to 4.2 on any motherboard. This cpu is much bettet than thw 9400 or 8400 that can oc at all.

2600x core is capable of reaching 4.1 ghz stable. Therefor you shouldn’t have too much issue reaching 4.1 with a decent b450 board. Basically all b450 motherboard with decent heatsink over the vrm should be fine. But if you are really concerned. get a msi gaming x470 gaming plus. It’s a budget x470 that’s capable of running a oc 2700x.
