Hello, I would appreciate any input on the build from pcpartpicker. I would like it to be mainly focused on animation and 3D modeling. Those are the programs I will use: 3ds Max, Maya, Unity, Nuke, and Photoshop. I have done some research and came up with this.

The research I have done were more on video card, cpu, memory, and storage. I'm not sure if the wifi adapter is necessary. I checked on quadros as well. From what I've found on, many 3D artists claim to have switched to the titan X from quadro since they prefer that better.
As for the laptop, it's just for portable use. I can set up animation/modeling on it then transfer files to render on the desktop?
As for budget, I don't have a set budget, but if it can be kept between 3k-4k (can be a little over) that would be good. Just that I would like effective computer and laptop to work with. Whatever is necessary, I will be in a university dorm. The classes have desktops, but they are all macs. I have heard issues of transferring files on Maya from Windows to Mac. I do not only intend this for school, also for career use. This is my first build.
