it will be for gaming and will need to support next next gen games like you will see on PS4. Im new to the hardware world so if theres any helpful tips you can give me about picking a graphics card that would be awesome too. (The color black is a plus)

my current build consists of this...

case - nzxt tempest elite 410 (only case out of thousands that i really liked)
momma - AS Rock LGA1155 Intel Z77 CrossFireX SATA3 USB3.0 A GbE ATX Z77 PRO4 (hope this is a good board)
ram - probably get a 4gb 3ddr 1600 and maybe add one later (i have 2 2gb 3ddr 1330 but i was told not to use em)
cpu - i5 quadcore of some type (help picking this would be nice too)
hdd - 500gb 7200rpm

thats all i know for now.

a few questions and comment.
1. im trying to stay under 650.
2. i already have a HDD and optical and a buddy can get me a win7 copy or i can use ubuntu.
3. excluding those two the price drops to 750
4. why did u pick that CPU and GPU?
5. i appreciate your help but after researching teh cost of CAS time it seems its insignificant and this would look better with my board and i dont need two atm but thanks.
6. im also thinking this CPU cooler since it has the same specs basicly and is like half the price of the one u listed (and black)
8. what do u think of this? idk what the 3330 in i5 means or if that card is worth it for that price but i think i might be good... oh and i dont think ill be using over 500w anytime soon, js.

I chose the processor because it is the best bang for your buck gaming processor out there on the market that is also overclockable. I chose the cooler because it is the best bang for your buck air cooler out there. The CPU cooler you picked is only a little bit better than the stock heatsink/fan assembly that comes with the CPU. Also always use the thermal paste Arctic silver 5 for CPU's because it is the best out there and only costs 8 bucks. I went ahead and chose different RAM to suite the colors of the rest of the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HKrJ . I chose the western digital hard drive because for 4 dollars more you get an immensely better customer support from that brand, and western digital are of a lot higher quality than seagate HDD's. You also get 500gb more storage space, well worth the extra 4 bucks in my opinion. I chose the EVGA GTX 660 because they have great customer support, that card comes with 150$ of in-game credit to 3 online games, EVGA has the best blower coolers on the market for graphics cards (besides HIS Ice Q coolers), and it comes factory overclocked for increased performance. I chose the case because you said you liked it =D. And last but almost most important I chose that power supply because it gives room for overclocking with that CPU and even more for the GPU. Also you never want to run an off-brand PSU, they could destroy your new computer. Antec has made some pretty good and affordable power supplies for a long time. You also never want to run a power supply at its maximum supported wattage and or amperage because it wears down the power supply a lot faster and could lead to damaged parts in the future regardless of how good the brand is. That sum it up for you? If not feel free to ask me more questions.
