Good cheap grapichs card fitting a lga 1155 socket.

So I bought a new PC (Dekstop, also my second pc.) because my latop is not good at all talking about cpu speed (1.70GHz). I bought this kinda cheap pc for about 200 dollars. It is pretty good tbh except for the Intel Pentium G2020 graphics card. Especially considering that I play Geometry dash alot. My graphics card supports OpenGL version 2.5 max. And Geometry Dash's minimum requirement of OpenGL is version 2.1 . And I experience grate weird lag. :/

So I did this thread here because I thought my monitor was the problem (I used it for my laptop before and had the same problem fixing it later..) and I got to know how weak my graphics card is
on the thread.

So I've search for a better one having a budget on about 63 dollars for now. And the only ones I found was Intel I3 and I5 cards with max support of OpenGl version 3. So I ask if anyone knows (if possible) any nvidia or amd cards that fit in a LGA 1155 socket. IF I need to change motherboard Im gonna be pretty sad... Hopefully not, thanks if you're wasting time helping me out! C:

^Get this, it's 203% faster than your integrated graphics card, should play the game just fine. The graphics card supports upto OpenGL 4.4, so it should support the game as well. It'll work with your motherboard just fine - what you need to worry about more is whether your power supply can handle the additional load of the graphics card or not - a motherboard with a PCI-E slot can support any graphics card, the main problem is CPU bottlenecking and PSU requirements.

The g2020 isn't a gpu it's a cpu with an integrated gpu in it. Howerver the graphics card in the g2020 is only meant for basic webbrowsing. For you money you can get a used 750 or 750ti or a gt 1030.

You got ripped off. I'd suggest returning it. For $200 you can have a desktop with i7 2600 and 8gb ram. That's hardly worth $100.

200$ for an i7 2600 is a steal but those deals are rare. A i5 2400 in some random dell can easily be found for under the 200 mark tho.

It's not rare at all. This is just after about 1 min of searching. I can usually find better deals if I dig deeper and even better deals locally. Sff are even cheaper but we won't want those if upgrading to a good non lp gpu.

If the GT 1030 is also similarly priced for you, get that. If you'll be sticking to the GT 730 I linked, then here's how you need to properly upgrade the graphics card:

1. Install the drivers for the new card. Yes, you need to do it before you insert the new GPU.
2. Shut down and remove the current GPU, unless it's an integrated one - then there won't be anything to be removed.
3. Where the previous graphics card was installed/where the PCI-E slot is, insert the new graphics card. Depending on the size of the graphics card, you may need to clear up a slot at the back of the case - it'll be some sort a cover, that'll unscrew/come off with a bit of a push. I'll put an image of what it looks like in the end.
4. Once the new graphics card has been securely installed(if it clicks into place, then it's installed), then screw it to the case, by re-attaching the screw using which the cover was previously attached.
5. Once you have done that, and you are sure the graphics card is secure in its place, turn on the computer. The PC should detect the graphics card, and if you were using integrated graphics, it'll automatically switch to the new GPU. Since you already have the drivers, you should be good to go now. Just remove the older drivers if you want to, and you're done.

Case cover for the GPU are on the bottom in this picture(the horizontal opening, just below the fan mount):

These covers may not be plain, and may have some ventilation holes in your case - it varies from case to case. Their location may be different as well - along the middle of the rear instead of the bottom. Again, depends on the case.

Whats the price of a gt 1030?

109,91 dollars and in swedish krona it is 879kr. Wich is pretty cheap but I can't afford it with my budget as of now and as I said Ill stick to the GT 730 Shektron linked 😛

The graphics card that you buy, the GT 730, will have its own video ports on the back of the card. You need to install the card into your system, as I have mentioned in the earlier reply, and then you need to take out the monitor cable from the integrated graphics(the motherboard, that is), and you need to plug it into the graphics card's video ports, whichever is the correct one(which one is correct depends on what interface you're using - VGA, HDMI, etc. You basically need to match the shape and size of the cable with that of the port. Simple enough). Once you've connected the cable, you can then turn on the system and the system will do the rest itself .
