Good cheep headphones for gaming

I just bought a gaming laptop and I am looking for some good headphones that I can take on the road with me for gaming as well as music.

For gaming I would like them to be a little bass heavy, but not so much that my music will sound like ***. No beats or bose or anything.

I also want something not that expensive. Absolutely under $100.

Currently I have two pairs in mind the first being a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M500 (I would buy them used to stay in my budget.

The other pair I am looking at are the monoprice headphones. I have heard good things about them and their price is amazing.

Does anyone have any input on either of these heaphones with gaming? Or maybe a personal favorite (as long as its <100$)

you can find a logitech g930 on sale quite often for $100. cheaper than that used. great pair unless your an extreme audiophile
