I am upgrading from an i5-6600 to a Intel Core i7-6700K 8M Skylake Quad-Core. I don't know which CPU fan to get. I'm only overclocking to 4.4 to 4.6ghz. I currently have a Alpine 11 GT Rev. 2

With my 6700k I could overclock to 4.5ghz with a 240mm rad. If you lucky and get a 240 or 280mm rad you may hit 4.6ghz. I am not fan of the air cooling . So I would recommend you buy a water cooling.

Don't forget to mention the danger that can be included with water cooling of any kind. Leaks. If it leaks, you could be in trouble. TBH, sounds like your 6700k wasn't a silicon lottery winner. Air cooling is using just as efficient as AIO for most part.
Usually only custom loops yield better temps than a air cooler ever could but that's also a lot of $$$.

sorry . I thought every one knew that with the water cooling leaks can happen .it is possible ,but this doesn't mean that it will happen to you. I have changed water cooler 1 time . My first cooler was a cooler master 240mm . And the second one is a costume loop with a 360 rad .and as you said I wasn't very lucky with my chip. But I am happy that nothing bad happened so far.
