Hi everyone,
I just recently bought a 144hz 1080p monitor and have been absolutely loving it. So far I have played R6, Csgo, overwatch, and fortnite at 144fps all the time no problem. I just recently got into pubg and noticed that my gtx 1070 is being severely bottlenecked by my ryzen 5 1600. In pubg at competetive settings (mix of high, and low) most Intel systems are getting a solid 144fps and my system is being bottlenecked to around 110 fps. The same problem happens in GTA 5. Now that ryzen 2 is out, I was wondering if it makes more sense to upgrade to Ryzen 2 2600(x) or an i5 8600k. I already have a motherboard for the 2600 as it uses the same one as my 1600 whereas I would have to buy a completely separate mobo for the i5. I really want as little bottleneck as possible and am not willing to shell out $650 cad for an i7 8700k and mobo. Which processor would get the most out of gtx 1070 for my 144hz monitor.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I am also open to getting used CPU's like the 6700k etc but would prefer this gen.
