Good CPU? (Todays Standards)

Hello everyone just a quick question!

I saw this offleased laptop with i5-2400. Is this still good in todays world? It has 4GB Ram. Is this still good for gaming?

Second question, if I find an old pc with i5-2400 and 4GB ram and Win7 Pro am I able to scavenge items from this pc fir my new pc? Like can I use that win7 pro activation code from old pc? And is that i5-2400 better than a G3258 dual core?

Cheers, also does anyone have exp with dreamspark? How can I get free os?

that processor is still good even for newer games and it's way better than the g3258 but you should get 8 gb ram if you want to play them but it's not necessary and yes you can use that windows 7 key if it's not an oem version

Its ok if you want to run games at low to medium settings. I have used dreamspark before but you need to be with a uni or institution to get it.
