Hello, I am currently using Sennheiser Game Zeros. For the last 4 or 5 months or so I have had the Gamer Zeros without a soundcard or external DAC. My current MOBO is a ASUS P8H67-M PRO , and I hate its onboard audio, i feel as though i am not receiving a lot of bass and power to my headset currently. I would vastly prefer an external DAC to a sound card but am willing to consider either. What would be a good external DAC that is compatible with this headset/ what would you guys recommend? I've been debating what to get for the last couple months.

How much are you looking to spend? I've got the Sennheiser HD598's with a Fiio E10K and they sound excellent. Much clearer and crisp than running of my motherboards audio. The Fiio E10K is both a DAC and and AMP and goes for around $100 US on Amazon. Highly recommend it I'm sure there are some cheaper quality options too, though. :)

This is the exact thing I was looking at , however I was unsure how well it would work with the Game Zeros as it has 2 jacks one for audio and one for mic. Was not sure how the compatibility would work or how It would look set up so that the sennheiser was using this for improved audio, while still also being able to use the mic.

Not sure if where the cord splits its long enough to have one go to my desk for the DAC audio input and have the Mic line run to the back 3.5MM jack of my PC for mic.
