Question good data recovery software

i wanted to get into phone data recovery as i have some old broken phones lying around and wanted to see what ever is still on there but when i look for data recovery software i only find the fishiest stuff you could imagine, with poor translations, faked reviews and "independent reviews" that just reek of being fake. Can someone point me to something more trustworthy? preferably free, but i know thats were all the spyware is. If paid show me anyways, maybe ill pull the trigger.
I should add that i need software that works for i phone but im interested in any kind, even for HDDs or SSDs, but i know the process there is usually a lot more than using some software.

I always use Recuva for simple means on a PC or TestDisk for everything else. TeskDisk is probably the best simply as it's completely open source and supports more devices, but for iPhone I believe the phone has to be jailbroken. It is more manual to use, as it's a command based software, but there are instructions for everything, including iPhones.

the phones arent jailbroken so that wont really work for those, but thanks regardless.
