I have built new system with GTX970 G1 Gaming(I know it is an old card, but got it cheap). What to do next? :)

I have never had nVidia GPU.

I'm installing fresh Windows 7 64bit. Do I need to use DDU? Where to download drivers? And most important question which version of drivers should I install? Newest or is there "last known to be very stable one"?

I have found out a lot of people are complaining on latest drivers (maybe Pascal owners) and 368.81 driver is mentioned a lot as beeing last "good" one.

Should I go with it? Am I missing a lot by skipping newest one?

Thanks!

DDU is only if you have already installed video drivers. The newest driver works perfectly fine and is best for getting the latest updates for all games.

Now honestly if you're into gaming why are you not using Windows 10? DirectX 12 is a big step forward in performance for many games.
Just go to Nvidia's website enter the info about your GPU (family - 900, and your OS - win 7 64 bit) download the driver to your desktop and run the install. I have had no issues with the latest driver .

Also you will find that not installing the current driver you might have issues running newer games. If you don't overclock your CPU or GPUs (which can often cause problems) and the new driver gives you problems you can always go back a version and try that.
