I never trust cooler benchmarks because almost every review is different. Just by looking at the design you can tell there isn't a 9 degree difference, nearly identical just with flat pipes instead of grooves and a different fan.
If you do not plan to sli/overclock the CPU you could save a few bucks by going with an i5 4460/H97 combo, dropping the aftermarket cooler, and using a lower wattage PSU.
A Hyper 212 EVO is really already more than enough. I expect that you won't be doing any overclocking. But if you do this would be just fine. excellent actually. I believe the intel i5 4690K has a TDP of 88W and the Hyper 212 EVO can handle at approximately 180W Don't know if it is true but because of curiosity I tried to overclock my AMD A10 5800K 3.8 Ghz with TDP of 100W to around 5.6Ghz with a voltage of I think 2V from default of around 1 point something volt. This is so extreme, rising the clock speed by nearly 2Ghz, I thought it would just instantly shutdown, But surprisingly the heatsink and the heatpipes in the cooler only got warm and the temperature reading is around 71 degrees and that is 100% load. I think this is due to the clever design of Continuous direct heatpipes that I like so much. It is not that stable though at 5.6Ghz but it works. Tested with Prime95 torture test. Just get the Hyper 212 EVO is cheap and an excellent performer. Cheers
While the 212 EVO is a decent budget cooler, there is almost always another cooler on sale offering a better price😛erformance ratio. EX: The 212+, older variant but almost identical performance and $10 cheaper.
If you are not overclocking and don't plan to either, you are wasting money with a Z97 board, aftermarket cooler, and unlocked processor.

like RazerZ said, Just go with the Hyper 212 Plus. It's price per performance is better, If not overclocking. Under 100% load in an i7 930 2.8Ghz temps only 1-2 degrees hotter than the Hyper 212 EVO, but under 100% load and overclocked to 3.9 Ghz it shows a 9 degree difference. The Hyper 212 EVO is quieter and in my opinion a better looking design and it is newer 😀 Hyper 212 Plus is around $6-10 cheaper. So yeah your choice though. btw Z97 board for $91? nice price I'm serious cheers

Sorry not trying to be mean or anything, but I'm just saying that out of my personal experience. A 9 degree improvement would mean switching to a heavy duty cooler like a Noctua NH-D15. I have both.

Is ok dude , Btw Noctua NH D-15 is my fav for high end air cooler. they can compete even with high end AIO water coolers like corsair H100 and similar models anyway benchmarks are not always accurate, In fact none is accurate. The system that they are using is different from our own. Lots of factors play into this actually, Like ambient temp, airflow in your case, air pressure, type of fans, Location of the fans, bla bla bla 😛 they might be tiny factors, but combined, could create different final results. The way people measure the temp varies. some websites show a 9 degree increase some other show 4 degrees some show no increase. Trust your own results
