Heya... I have a question regarding a good system. My pc blew up 1 week ago 🙁 and I want to get a new one ASAP. Now, as I'm not as good as you are, can you plz tell me if the system is just good enough for a good performance for playing games such as BF2 or other fast games ?
tks alot for your help... Shall I even buy and AMD ?

With the 7800 GT and a decent procesor you shouldn't have problems with those games(unless you play at sky high res. with 16 x AA and 8X aniso).
The 930 is with no doubt a decent procesor that runs cooler than it's 8xx counterpart. For serious jobs it's great and doesn't lag in games/
Keep in mind that the gfx card is mostly doing all the work in current 3d games so better procesor will make little difference(an 3 GHZ dual is more than enough).
Memory-excelent
Mobo- some other guys should help you here,i heard only good things about ASUS mobos, never owned one myself(i always go Intel)
HDD-you could get a better HDD,120 is not enough,160 will cut it just fine
Or you can get a mobo that supports RAID and get 2 cheap 80 GB HDDs. It's a bit more expnesive, but it should be worth it since you gain more reading speed.

That new Intel chip is much cooler than the old 830. The 930 only uses 50 watts more than it's Amd counterpart.
If you only want gaming performance, you should be looking at an Amd 4000, single core chip. If you have other uses that lean towards dual core use, an Amd X2 would probably be a better choice.
BF2 is very memory intensive, so be sure to get 2 gigs of ram.
If you have uses other than gaming, list them, and we will be better able to recommend the correct chip.
