Hello, this is my first build, and I'm wondering if these are good options for (mostly) gaming:

This is in Canadian dollars BTW. Not much difference, but Canada doesn't have the same deals America does when it comes to combos, etc. Prices may be up a bit from the norm.

  • Case: NZXT Phantom 410 ATX Mid Tower $100

    CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0-4.4GHz $350
(OK, I play some simulators that require very intensive CPU usage and can make use of hyper threading so no i5 for me. Also, I might overclock, but the freq is already pretty high)

CPU Cooler: Corsair H55 57.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $50
(Could upgrade if needed, I do have a budget though)

Motherboard: HELP! I need something here and there are sooo many options. I'm willing to go with a slightly more expensive motherboard if it's significantly better.

    Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory $170
(Should I downgrade to 1600 freq RAM? I don't know if I really need 1866)

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $85

HD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $60

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card $390
    (970's where it's at apparently 😀)

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply $85
(Could upgrade from 650 if required, but this is a really good deal I think)

Sound Card: Asus Xonar DSX 24-bit 192 KHz Sound Card $50

Peripherals: Already buying 2 monitors from my friend (1080p and 1440p at 24" worth $200 and $400 for $200) and I have a headset and gaming mouse from my old laptop.

Would this run Battlefield 4, Far Cry 4, AC Unity, etc. maxed out/almost maxed out with 60+ FPS? I think so, but I need that motherboard (please! Max I would pay is $250). Budget is about $2000.
