First get the Phenom II 955 BE its $20 cheaper and its the same processor and being unlocked multiplier being a black edition anyone can just increase the multiplier to match the clock speed to 3.4ghz

Second dont get the Hitachi they are not known to be all that reliable and there ar faster options out anyway.

This would be a much better choice in drives everything else looks great.

Your PSU is a little overkill a 550 watt unit would be more than plenty but the 750 watt unit will give you plenty of headroom for upgrades in the future. So if you plan on a more powerful GPU or a crossfire setup stick with the 750 but if you are gonna stick with the setup you listed for a while and you are trying to pinch a few pennies a 550 watt unit from corsair would be more than enough power.

What resolution are you gonna be playing at?

1680x1050 or lower you should be able to play at almost all maxed out settings with very playable frame rates.

2 ways to do it.

■1 is AMD OverDrive utility you can do this via windows you just simply increase the multiplier 1 or 2 clicks to get the desired clock speed on stock heatsink dont go over 3.7ghz.

■2 A little more complicated but very doable is threw the Bios.
