Good games for old pc

I want to ask you what are some good games for my ancient pc:

CPU:AMD Sempron 2600+ 1.3 GHZ
GPU:Nivida Geforce 4 MX 440 AGP 8x
RAM:1 GB

Games that i tried and i love:

Civilization IV BTS
Half-Life 2
Counter-Strike 1.6
Call of Duty 1

and many more..

So what are the best games that can handle?

I know about that I need a new PC.I'm going to buy one soon.
I know about GOG.com

I think u can run pretty much all games released before 2004; u can run

Half Life (and all of its expansions) ; call of duty 2 ; NFS most wanted 2005 ;Return to castle Wolfenstein ; Halo 2 (not sure); gta vice city ; plants vs zombies ; gta 3 ; Flatout 2; and obviously minecraft etc

I know that i can play almost all games released before 2004.
I tried Call of Duty 2 some time ago,but i had a lot of lag.Only when i was looking down the game was smooth
Maybe i can get here a solution for that ,too..
What version of Minecraft would be the best (I love to play modded) ? I can't play 1.7.2 and up because of the graphics card.
