Good Gaming/Functionality Laptop

So our school recently received Chromebooks, needless to say they are awful. They run off of their own operating system and can't run .exe files, just .crx files. I'd like a decent laptop with gaming capabilities that could play Minecraft, Terraria, Euro, and maybe Skyrim on reduced graphics and maybe with Google Docs, and Word, and stuff like that for under $1,000 any laptops like that?

lenovo y510p, the I7 if you can find it under $1000, if not there's always the I5 version, but make sure you get the model that has gtx 755M SLI graphics.

lenevo especially sli models are not a good gaming/functionality laptop. They have worst battery life, build quality is soso, and get very hot. You'd be better off with like a samsung ativ book 6 or 8, or possibly an hp or dell with dedicated 765 or 760 card.
