Okay I have been reading so much about performance of Nvidia vs AMD GPUs and over all Nvidia's GPUs beat the AMD at alot of things. However I have always used AMD and the performance has never been bad in my opinion. Im building a rig and i want to put in a graphics card thats affordable yet can play the latest games like BF3 MW3 NFS:The Run Crysis 2, etc etc... without major loss in FPS and performance.
I was looking at gtx 500 series and 600 series for the NVidia end and 6000 and 7000 series for the AMD end.
More specifically i looked at,
GTX 550ti, 560/560ti, 570, 580, 670
AMD Radeaon 7870, 7950, 7970, 6770, 6790, 6850, 6870 and 6950
All of these graphics cards seem to be really good. I have read on many forums that they all take the latest games well at ultra or whatever the highest settings are for the specific game. I have watched many gameplay videos for several of the gpu's and I honestly could not tell the difference(maybe cause I wasnt directly infront of the rig).
So ultimately I want a GPU thats affordable, keeps quiet, does not heat up toooo much and plays some of the newest titles well. (The option to overclock is ok, though I may not do it).
Maybe a price budget of....say 200-280$....$300 maximum.
Thanks for all the help I get.
