Is this a good graphics card for gaming.

Its extremely overpriced. You can get a 5770 for about the same price that will perform much better.

+1 for ATI 5770.

hunter315 is right on. $143 for a 9800GT is ridiculous. The ATI 5770 is quite a bit better, and sells for basically the same price. The ATI 5770 is part of ATI's current generation, where as the 9800GT is 2 generations old.

+1 to the ATI Radeon HD 5770.

For the performance and future-proofing (DirectX 11 support), I would recommend this card. I needed a great budget gaming card and ended up with a 5770 which works great with almost every game, new and old. Can sustain 40+ fps on StarCraft II and even does a pretty great on on Crysis.

Go with the 5770, you won't regret it!
