As the title states i'm looking for a good gaming headset. My budget is $250 (no more) and the headset would be used on PC and Xbox One. Please list a few good ones! Thanks!

Hello mate.

250$ are a lot of money to be wasted on a gaming headset alone. Gaming headsets kinda suck on everything, except gaming. I tried a lot of gaming headsets (like Logitech G430) but they were lacking seriously when i wanted to listen to my music.
The way i went, after a lot of searching, (money werent a problem) was Kingston's Hyper X Clouds (a headset that doesn't suck) combined with a soundblaster sound card. Hell, i saw a huge difference everywhere, both in music and gaming! This headset is veeery good on both worlds and the card boosted that to the limit. They cost around 90$ and the sound card took me another 80$.

You can go with Cloud II also, around 100-110$, they have a built-in USB 7.1 surround sound card, so you...

The only thing i can recommend above this, is a combo of audiophile grade headphones (like 150$+) combined with a standalone microphone, but is less practical and you arent gonna notice a big difference over my previous suggestions.

Also 250 is waste for any hesdset

You can get a blue yeti and splitter and headphone for less than 250 and have Superior sound quailty for cheaperhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003LRY1UE/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1437464855&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SY200_QL40&keywords=blue+yeti&dpPl=1&dpID=51jSGBzFkfL&ref=plSrch

And splitter to connect to console and

Search youtube "how to plug blue yeti in xbox one"

Now you have a mic and headphone for 150 and its better than any headset made

PS the blue yeti picks up alot up of background if that's issue it can be fixed by adjusting the gain volume setting it to cardriod if you like this answer please select as best answer thanks

Also this headphone isn't the best but it will do if you want you can remove this bundel search blue yeti on amazon for 124$ (dont forget to get pop filter ) and the rest of the money to headphone also the mic has zero latency feature where you plug youre headphone

You thinkit is wise for a dude to spend 124$ for a microphone? What is he gonna do, broadcast the local news? lol.
He asked for a headset, 250 is too much for a headset, and the Clouds are an excellent choice, best bang for the buck, and the built in mic is more than good, he can unplugged it too if he doesnt need it.

110$ and off you go mate. Plain and simple. And 140$ on the pocket to buy your girl a present.

HD598 is touted as being pretty good for gaming. Basically you should look for one with a good soundstage (plus a wide soundstage would be great to have).
I use HD598 but only for music. It's a pretty good musical headset.
