Hello I have been researching the market for a new computer and I have been debating on getting one of these two computers

The Asus G750jw which is $1,149 on Newegg
i7 4700hq
12gb of ddr3 memory
GTX 765m 2gb
17.3 inch 1080x1920 display
750gb 5400rpm

Acer Predetor Desktop which is $979 on Newegg
i7 4770
8gb of ddr3 memory
GTX 760 1.5gb
1tb 7200rpm
500 watt power-supply

I want to know what I should do so I can the best performance in games such as Battlefield 4, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Arma 3.

Thank you and please help!!!

Both should perform about the same. I don't know a lot about BF4, but I do recall hearing that it is rather CPU heavy (so both will do fine, especially with a i7) and as for RAM I really think 8 GB would be enough for a long while (and it's cheap and easy to upgrade.) Same goes for the HDD. Matter of fact for gaming I would try to run a SSD instead, but that really limits the amount of games you can install. And SSD's are still a bit costly. I would say ASUS is the better brand (just frome experience). Chances are these are both made at Focconn on the same assembly line in the end.

I would go with the Asus. Out of the box I think you would be happier. Both can, however, be upgraded to perform better. Just my 2 cents.

one of your options is a desktop - desktops are almost always more powerful for the price.
state your budget, uses of your laptop, preferences and where your from and someone will link you to the best options for your price range.

My budget is $1200 I would like a laptop because of the portability as well as power so I could bring it along to friends houses but I would want a desktop for the upgradability and the power as well. I would prefer intel processors and doesn't matter about NVIDIA or AMD to me.
