Hello,
I am currently using a basic Advent keyboard and a Zalman M500WL mouse however I am looking to upgrade. I have been looking at the Corsair K65 (£65) however it is fairly expensive for my liking. The mouse I am looking at is the Corsair M65 (£35) right now.
My budget for the mouse is £30-£45 and the budget for the keyboard is £30-£60

Would these peripherals be a good option for someone who plays game on a regular basis?

Thanks

You didn't give a budget but the "go to mouse" I have used for gamers for years was the Logitech MX518. For those willing to spend a bit more , the Asus GX 950 surprised me on how much I liked it. The most popular Keyboard requested for gaming oriented builds has been the Logitech G19s 920-004985, not mechanical but programmable but teh biggest feature for lotta gamers is the LCD screen which they can use to monitor CPU / GPU temps, Gamer specific displays, or other mini apps.

My brother uses that mouse and likes it. As for the keyboard I can't precisely say, I use a Corsair k70 Cherry MX Red edition. The Corsair boards are really easy to clean also. But if you not sure that you absolutely want mechanical keys than it's best to probably find one without them.

I would quite like mechanical keys and my budget is around £40-£60 however the cheaper I can go the better

Thanks, I think that the current mouse I have is about the same grade as the Logitech one you recommended. The keyboard also looks good but it is very far out of my budget so I won't be able to get that particular keyboard.
