Get a 4 x 4gb or 2 x 8gb kit of ram instead though. 970's are better bang for buck than 980's Best all round 970 - MSI per http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2014/09/19/nvidia-geforce-gtx-970-review/14 Best performer - Gigabyte per http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2014/09/19/nvidia-geforce-gtx-970-review/14 for 1080p, all you need is one 970. With a 980 or 2 x 970's, I'd go for 1440p.
