i want to play next gen games with the gaming pc i wan't to build but can i play on high settings. How much FPS could i get when i play with high settings? And how much with medium?


these are the specs:

This is a solid build, I can't say specifically what fps you will get because it depends on the game. However your more then likely going to be able to play majority of games on high settings while achieving 60fps.

I would strongly suggest switching that PSU for something better. EVGA G2 or GS series is a good start, I would suggest something around the 650-750w range in case our interested in SLI in the future.

at least on par, only a few where the 970 pulls ahead, but the 390 is the better card in more games. not only that, but what about dx12 and async shaders?

seriously dude? did you just rediscovered the internet? look at the dx 12 benches... (mostly AotS, that first api overhead bench or fable legends (rumored to be gimped so nvidia didnt get crushed) ) and all the articles about any lack of async of any nvidia gpu's.
the only thing the 970 has over the 390 is lower power consuption/ higher efficiency

ps. the 950 is lower than the 960 and is also maxwell 2.0
pps. don't forget the lack of optimization for maxwell when pascal arrives
