Hey guys. I just wanted to ask if these components I pick out are good, which also have some reasoning why I picked them. Thanks! :)

CPU:Intel Core i7 7700 - I picked this processor out because I will be doing some light editing on this system. I will also use multiple applications at once as I will be doing a lot of stuff with this system.
GPU:Asus Phoenix Fan Edition - NVidia GTX 1060 3GB - I picked out this graphics card because I will be gaming, but not intense gaming. I will be playing games like CSGO, GTA V, Paladins, etc.
RAM:16gb of Adata XPG 2400mhz ram - I’m picking this ram up because like I said, I will have multiple tabs open. I will also be editing on this machine.
CASE:NZXT H500i - It just looks nice.
PSU:550Watt Corsair cx550m - I’m pulling this out from my old system, and I haven’t experienced any coil wishing, so I guess I’m lucky!
BOOT DRIVE:WD Green 120gb SATA SSD - It’s a fast boot drive and that’s more than I need.
MAIN STORAGE:WD Blue 1TB HDD - Like I said, it’s more than I need.
Motherboard: ASUS H110 Plus motherboard - It’s an okay board, has all the features I need.

I will be accepting upgrades that are 500 dollars or below. Thanks guys! :)

Hi,

I suggest you:
CPU: AMD RYZEN 2700.Remember to buy non-x version.Stable clocks and You can do many things like content creation for a 8 core-16 threaded processor.
GPU:Go with Asus Dual GTX1060 6GB or get new variant of gtx1060x(unreleased) which will be released in some time.60$ more but has 2 fans and is future proof with 6gb memory buffer.
Mobo:ASUS PRIME B450-PLUS AM4.It is a decent mobo and gets work done.
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Desktop Memory Kit- It is highly overclocked ram at 3200Mhz.Will make ryzen insanely fast.
CASE:NZXT H500i - It just looks nice.
PSU : From old system.

-STORAGE-
BOOT DRIVE:Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB.You can keep OS+ essential softwares in it.105$
MAIN STORAGE...
120GB SSD is really too small. Even if you just want to try to keep the OS on it other things will find their way there. Price difference for next size up should be relatively minimal.

Hopefully your H110 will not be old stock without the updated BIOS. If it is you will need to buy a 6 series CPU to upgrade the BIOS or pay someone to upgrade it for you. a 200 series motherboard would prevent that.

I think you should go with this system as it is more future proof with ryzen and 3200MHz overclocked ram.

Thank you,
Ishaan

I second a system similar to this. The 6GB Geforce 1060 is worth it over the 3GB version. The faster RAM is totally worth it as Ryzen takes advantage of it. A good 1080p system for gaming and even better if you match it with a 24" 1080p G-Sync monitor. Nothing wrong going Intel either but AMD Ryzen is just as good nowadays.

Also up to a 256GB SSD as mentioned. The Samsung is fast. Crucial is less fast but very reliable and seeing how SSD is so fast anyways, I like going Crucial for a the reliability.

Seriously... https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-7700-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-2700/3887vs3957 for gaming???

OP... Can you afford 8400 as per your location??? Wats your budget and location???

Futureproof is a myth.

Bought everything on that list. My friend even gave me a bit more money to buy a RTX 2070 :)
