Good GPU for a Pentium D 960?

The best CPU my motherboard will take is a Pentium D 960, 3.6 Ghz. What's the best GPU I should bother getting? If you could, give a reasonable option and an option erring on the side of bottle necking/paying too much/maximum juice. Drink it up.

Please list your motherboard and power supply make/model number. They are more important than the cpu to determine your next gpu.

Thats not your motherboard, thats your chipset, Now i believe that cpu to be socket 775 so the mobo should support some better chips, core 2 duo, core 2 quad, Although if it is an old intel board it may not

It's in a Dell Optiplex Gx620, so it's probably one of those old Intel boards.

I don't know how to figure out a model number for the motherboard if the link I gave isn't it.

Any more information I should provide?

Right thats a 775 motherboard so you should be able to fit at least a low end Pentium Duel Core. Just out of interest, what do you use your pc for? Because you may just be better off selling it and upgrading

for that cpu i would suggest nothing stronger than a 98gt anything more and you will bottleneck...

Oh yeah, and is there a way to use a dual core processor even though the most recent BIOS update supports at most a D 960? Do I not know what I'm talking about? I hope not

Since the dell ps is out of stock, I recommend these for your upgrades:

Keep your old power supply; when you do a proper upgrade, install your old ps back in the dell and sell it intact. These new parts will work fine in your next build or oem system.
