Hello, I want to upgrade my graphics card to a higher model. Just want to be sure some other of my PC components won't bottleneck the upgrade. Currently I'm running this setup:

CPU: Amd fx 8320
MoBo: Asus M5A97
RAM: 10 gb
Psu: Corsair cx650 watt
Graphics: sapphire R9 270x 2 gb
My budget is around 20k wish to play games in best settings possible at 60 fps

Thanks!

Ok. Please make sure you include the currency your referring to in your posts next time; this is an international forum so numbers mean different things to different people!

For 20,000 rupees, I'd suggest a GTX 960. Its great card for 1080p gaming.

Some people would suggest getting an AMD equivalent, but they are much less power efficient at this level and given the fact you have a weak PSU and generally, the Indian power grid can be a little funny, Id strongly suggest the 960.

EDIT: Just realised youre currently running an AMD R9 270x. As such, upgrading to a 960 will only give you a small performance increase. I would save up until you have enough for a 970.

i said only gpu. not whole system... first u shud read full what i have written..

No, you need to tell us what currency your budget is in... 20,000 British Pounds is VERY different to 20,000 Indian Rupees for example.

well then your case would depend on what gpu you can get... and you would need a new psu if getting more demanding gpu... and ram.. meh maybe..
go and get a
EVGA GeForce GTX Titan X and run it in sli if your board can handle it..

around 20,000 indian currency

He doesn't actually have $20,000... its Indian Rupees, which is about $300.

i don't actually see the point in upgrading then.. just assuming its just his gpu that is setting him back no other components. could allways find a gpu to run in sli for around that price mark?

lol I think you meant some other currency 😛 Maybe INR?
If its INR 20,000 then I think the options that you have right now are r9 280 and GTX960. I cant find any online retailer with r9 380 available but you can get it from your local retailer under 20k even for the 4GB variant I am sure.

I think the r9 380 would perform slightly better than a gtx 960, thats what I could see from the benchmarks from tomshardware.

m also thinking bout to buy Asus strix gtx 970 , huw is that bro

Normally I would recommend some higher grade PSUs at this point, but I know how hard it is to get hold of one in India, so I'll just say is make sure the one you get meets the following:

- A brand you know (Antec, Corsair, CM, Seasonic, XFX etc)
- Minimum of 500w
- Minimum of 80+ Bronze rating
