Hey guys, I own a Dell Inspiron 531S and I was looking for a nice (able to run modern games on med to max settings) graphics card for my PC. I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core processor. I'm afraid I don't know my Motherboard. (Which is a rather large problem.) I will soon upgrade to 4GB of RAM so memory isn't a problem. Thanks!

What is your resolution? You will most likely have difficulty maxing out games due to your processor at high resolutions.

Also what is your power supply? This is critical in determining if you can even put in a graphics card or not.

250 watts is not enough for a GPU upgrade. I would suggest at least 350 watts for a graphics card upgrade.

Even then, I would not suggest a very power intensive graphics card. A 7750 or 7770 would be the farthest that even a high quality 350 watt PSU could probably go safely.
