gt620 is for people who don't game. What makes a good one is processing power and really you'll have to check review sites and benchmarks to find out which are suitable. Generally price is a good indicator and a gaming card starts at at least $100, really.

For $150 you'd be looking at a GT650 Ti or a Radeon 7770 or 6850 as your best solutions, but make sure your power supply has enough wattage.

+1 to Twelve, the gt series is for anyone who DOESNT want to game...at all. Go for the 650 ti or 6850 or 7750 from amd. Make sure that you don't buy a refernce card (one that has "evga" or "amd" before it), choose the brands: sapphire, gigabyte, msi twin frozr, his, galaxy, powercolor, asus, etc. DONT buy from ebay...buy from newegg.com. You get firsthand products, mail-in rebates, price reductions, and bundles if you are lucky.

Hope you read this...

ignore what he said about EVGA. they're a highly reliable brand with quality build and services

reference cooler designs may not offer the best cooling solution but it works well enough in most cases, especially if you don't OC . even then, a good fan setup and airflow through a good case helps to compliment your GPU cooling.

The gt620 isn't for gaming. I would suggest the 7850. It is a good mid raneg card and when overclocked it reaches performances of just above the 660ti. I like this one

It has a good cooler so its overclocking potential increases. I don't recommend nVidia because they charge too much for their cards. It's not cost effective. They also severely lack in overclocking potential.

I would highly recommend to buy a xfx ati radeon hd 6750 1gb ddr5 graphics card for gaming.

I am using it for 8months and i played all games in high settings but use a high watt psu for it.
