Question Good graphics card to pair with X5450/E5450?

Hi, can somone suggest me a good graphics card that wont cost loads but still has fairly good performance? I was thinking a HD 5870 since there is one locally which I could bargain down to around £20, but will anything bottleneck? I heard the X5450 is not to be paired with anything more powerful than a 1050 Ti and the 5870 has performance inbetween GTX 750/ 750 Ti? What do you think about this?

750 ti would be what I would look for or a gtx 660 ti if your psu has pci-e cables.

I would probably avoid the 5870, its a pretty power hungry card for the performance you would get and if I remember right quite hot and loud.

If i went for the 5870 i could put more money on the psu, because the 660ti is £60 where i live and the 750ti is £55 so if i can save £35 noise and thermals wont make that much of a difference to me.

The HD5870 came out in 2009 and AMD no longer makes drivers for that card. That doesn't mean it won't work, but you may run into issues with newer games, and then you'll be up the creek without a paddle.

I saw a listing for a card on the facebook marketplace, but it's not very discriptive it just says ''Gigabyte 200 series graphics card 2GB'' I think it is the Gigabyte 260X. https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-R726XOC-2GD-rev-10#ov It has the same shroud but I can't tell for sure.
