Hey all, new to the forum and appreciate any advice given!
I recently had to replace my motherboard and processor. I probably should have given it a little more thought, but it was around Christmas and money was tight. Now that it's all installed and working properly and I didn't lose operating system, I'm wanting to add a descent graphics card that is compatible and capable to run with what I have. I have been looking mainly at ASUS because of the MB. If I have issues, I'm not wanting any confusion as to who is responsible for my help. My budget is $150 and my specs are below. Thanks in advance.

MB- ASUS AMD 760G Motherboard - Micro ATX, AMD 760G Chipset, 1866MHz DDR3 (O.C.), SATA 3.0 Gb/s, RAID, 8-CH Audio, Gigabit LAN, Hybrid CrossFire, AMD FX Ready - M5A78L-M LX PLUS

Processor- AMD FX-8310 3.4GHz - L2 Cache 8MB, 95 Watts, Socket AM3+,

Corsair 500 watt
8 MB ram

I really recommend the GTX 750 Ti as it is around $150 an it quite power efficient is and simply the best at that price, or if you prefer ATI over Nvidia then go for the R7 260 or 260X

Thanks Damon, I was looking at that one. You see any problems with powering the fans with my mb. Not sure where the connector on the MB will be located or will it be powered from power supply?

The GTX 750 Ti is the best available graphics card that does not need any other power connectors because of its low power usage. Hope this helps

Maybe because I'm looking at the asus model, but its reviews say there is a 6 pin power supply connection. Even the pictures show a connection wire close to case tabs. This my only concern and want to be sure of my facts before ordering. Thanks again.

Yeah only the ASUS model has a 6 pin connector but the ones from Galaxy, MSI and EVGA all do not require any other connections. I recommend this one by Galaxy as it does not require a power connection: http://www.galaxytech.com/__EN_GB__/Product2/ProductDetail?proID=517&isStop=0&isPack=False&isPow=False&isSSD=False but this one by Galaxy does require a 6 pin: http://www.galaxytech.com/__EN_GB__/Product2/ProductDetail?proID=516&isStop=0&isPack=False&isPow=False&isSSD=False

I highly recommend the EVGA 750TI, they are a well respected brand and known primarily for their longevity and stability. Mixing different manufacturers is really only important for RAM and insuring the mother board can support it. Graphics card mainly control themselves and work independently in most situations. With the particular motherboard you chose you should have no issues with any PCIE graphics card.
