Can anyone tell me if Seagate Barracuda 2 TB is a good drive for gaming?

The ST2000DM001 is a member of the same family as the 3TB model which was plagued with reliability problems and was the subject of a law suit. On that basis it would probably not be a wise choice.

Does that family include the st2000DM006 also?

Both have the same family ID -- 0x58 (Grenada).

Well I have the HDD mentioned above and it's good nothing to complain about.
