Good idea to buy used Lot of 10 1tb HDD's on Ebay?

I can backup my stuff on on all of them and if one fails I will still have nine more. Then I can put it in a raid array.

I would say no. First you don't know anything about the drives, they could have been heavily used, overheated, dropped, etc. Second, with the price of 1TB NEW drives, why would you risk it?
