I used a kit very similar, almost identical to the aled kit Gam3r01 posted from amazon. Only difference was mine had a different brand (supernight). My best guess is that kits like those are all identical bought cheap and in bulk and other companies are just having their logo printed on them. Worked out really well for me.

If you want the ability for white lighting (true white) you may want to look for led's with rgb+w. Standard rgb strips have the same 3 way led bulbs all the way along the strip and to get 'white' they turn up the red/green/blue channels to max. Rgb+w is a strip where the bulbs alternate, every other bulb is a 3 way colored bulb and in between are pure white bulbs. Usually those sets you can control the colored and white bulbs independently so you can have just white, just color or a mix of the two (for pastel shades).

Other than that it comes down to how much fiddling you want to do. A set like nzxt hue or hue+ are setup to be powered directly off the power supply. No additional wiring from the wall plug to your case. The hue+ has more advanced features like individual led control so instead of all on/off they can be run like a chaser.

When using a set like that aled or supernight with an external power brick it plugs into the wall or power strip so you'll need an extra wall plug of some sort. It also means you have to route a power cable into your case to power the controller. I didn't have any place to route it into my enthoo pro so I used some wire cutters and snipped out a small portion of the vented holes/mesh in the bottom of my case to create an opening underneath big enough to fit the power adapter plug. That could be a deal breaker for some people who don't want to start cutting on their case.
