Hi!

I'm looking to downgrade hardware to M-ATX as I don't play as many games as I used to and move around a lot so I don't need the heavy full tower; however, I can not find a decent LGA1151 motherboard despite the amount of Googling for suggestions.

Please can someone help me?

(I've found a lot of suggestions, but any M-ATX case suggestions are also welcome :D)

Considering it's a dead platform of course you're not going to find much.

Best you're going to do is to find a used board on eBay (or similar site) - https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=lga+1151+matx&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=lga+1151matx&_osacat=0

I would stick with Asus, Gigabyte, or Asrock boards.

Yeah, unfortunately, so, is there any chance you know of any particularly good m-atx 1151 motherboards by name? All I'm finding on eBay are motherboards that look like they're from the 00's

Then it would be a great time to let go of the whole platform entirely. As you can tell from the ebay listings, LGA 1151 motherboards and its CPU is still floated pretty expensively in most market. We can ditch the board and the CPU and get a brand new Ryzen 5 5600 and a good mATX board like B550M Pro4 by Asrock or B550M Aorus Elite by Gigabyte which would be really nice bump in IPC.
