Ok guys im building a computer and have most of my items picked and was wondering what type of RAM would be best for overclocking. I have some picked out and was wondering if Super Talent is a good choice or if there is something else that would be better. If any of you computer Gods could help me out i would love it! Thank you!

My Soon to be System! Maybe :D

It was a good choice, an awesome choice infact, but those sticks no longer ship with D9 Micron chips, Super Talent switched to Elpia ICs a while back. In December IIRC.

You're kidding, where does it say that?

There are a bunch of old forum posts and newegg reviews with vauge references to how Super Talent is now using Elpida ICs, not exactly creditable sources, but it shows I'm not a lone nut raving about Super Talent.

This article is one of the most concrete sources I can find.

Even Value DDR2 became faster very quickly. Most of the value sticks began using Elpida memory, and while these were usually rated at DDR2-667 or DDR2-533, they managed to run at DDR2-800 at 4-3-3 timings at around 2.2V.

The specs I bolded match the 2gb kit perfectly.

Thats not credible.

Most manufaturers have many DDR2-800 CL4 memory modules that look completely identical. You cant know if its Micron D9 or not unless u know the wich module it is.

So they could be talking about another set of DDR2-800 CL4 memory from Super Talent.
