Good Mid-Ranged Gaming PC Build?

Hi, i'm new to the PC gaming scene and am currently constructing my first build. Here is my list of parts that I think look good for my $1300-$1500 budget

In addition to those parts, I was going to go with a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H motherboard as well as a 250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD primary hard drive. Could anyone give me any advice on what I could do better or change, and what a good cpu cooling would be? Thanks a lot in advance.

or you can get an r9 270x for a cheaper card but will perform great with 1920x1080p monitor

Does this budget include monitors, keyboards, etc. ? And why Z87 when Z97 is already here? You could use this build, but it doesnt have the Z87X-UD-4H mobo and it is Z97 build

The build does include a single monitor (preferably around 23-24 inches) as well as a keyboard but not a mouse or headset. Sorry I don't know what that combo is aha
