Hello guys, i just got my i7 3770k (lga 1155), but I still dont know what motherboard i should buy.
I heard that Z77's are really good to overclock, but are there any other solutions?
Could you suggest me the best one?
Thanks in advance guys !

I use an ASUS P8Z77-V Premium. It's an absolutely fantastic board, but unfortunately it's also pretty rare since it was a $500 mobo 6 years ago. The only drawback is the older technology with no M.2 NVME SSD support. The ASUS Z77 Sabertooth boards are also very good. The overlockability will depend mostly on the CPU, though. I could only get my 3770k to 4.4Ghz. Any higher required 1.4+ voltage range.

I've used a bunch of 1155 boards for overclocking i7 2600k's and 3770k's, and I've had a great experience with the ASUS boards as well.
I've also had great experience with an Asrock Z77-Extreme4 board, and there was a solid Gigabyte board as well.
You can definitely use a Z68 or P67 board and it will work great, but if you have a powerful GPU (GTX 1070 or higher) I would opt for Z77 for better GPU bandwidth. It's a pretty small performance boost, but its worth the extra few bucks in my opinion.

How far you can overclock is going to rely mostly on the CPU itself. Most 3770k can reach 4.4+ with adequate cooling
