I have been through 2 MSI mobo and both of them died on me each within a month of use. I don't over clock and all i do is game. So i am getting a new gut for the machine as well as a new processor. I want to order a new core i5 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504)
and now i want to find a good mobo (no msi) that's around $70-$100. I know its tight. Also, i would like it to support DDR3. I've looked around and just wants some advice for suggestions. thanks.

Every ivy bridge motherboard will support DDR3.

Also, the problem isn't that you're buying MSI, is that $80 is low for a good intel motherboard.

Buying a 3570k is a waste of money if you aren't overclocking - go with a 3470. As for the motherboard, go with an AsRock H77 Pro 4.

if you're not overclocking with this new CPU+mobo, forget the 3570K. the 3350P, 3330, and maybe a 3470 if you got a Microcenter nearby will save you a lot, while keeping the impact to performance minimal. as for the motherboard, make your choice;

i recommend this if you're not looking to spend too much;

or this if you prefer some brand-based quality assurance. you'd have the cash either way if you're not OCing and skipped the 3570K;

if you are looking to OC, keep the 3570K. as for a motherboard, this should fit in your requested budget, i guess;
