I have a GTX 970 and would like to find a good 1080p monitor.

might be able to do $180 if need be.

Also what is the best connection? DVI or HDMI?

Any suggestions?

Solution
this is probably the cheapest you could do right now
http://www.amazon.com/Acer-G226HQL-Bbd-21-5-inch-Widescreen/dp/B009POS0GS/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1434501856&sr=1-1&keywords=computer+monitor

however there is one on sale right now at your max price range

when it comes to hdmi or dvi, it doesnt really matter. HDMI is best as it is universal and works well with everything and will fit all your needs for video and audio. however if your looking for 1ms response times or just fast screen rendering dvi would be better as it is fully digital. but honestly you cant tell much difference and hdmi...

Solution
its pretty good, don't pay more than $180 for it since its used, retail is $230 though so its whatever you are willing to pay. personally i would look at amazon since there's a big sale going on and you could get those same deals except its actually new from the manufacturer.
