I have been watching videos and reading lots to try and figure out which MB would be the best fit for my upcoming system build. It seems that the 'only' difference between Z390 and Z370 is USB 3.1 ports, integrated WiFi and firmware version.

If that is truly the only difference (I am thinking in terms of VRMs, heat, etc) then perhaps I can derive full functionality (including a very mild overclock) out of the 9600K with a Z370 MB? I do not need WiFi or 3.1.

More 'ifs'.....then is there one that comes highly recommended?

Thank you.

FWIW, below is the build so far:
