Hi everyone, i was hoping to get some advice on some upgrades i am considering. I want to upgrade to the ivy bridge I7 and to 16 gigs of ram. My current motherboard wont support those upgrades so i am considering the one listed above.

Reason for the upgrade is to run games better, mainly Planetside 2 which is pretty much unplayable on my current set up.

I am not very familiar with motherboards so wanted to see if i could get some advice. Will that motherboard work/ be ideal with that set up? are there better options that I should consider? Will this still be a good board a couple years down the line?

I am not really too sure what the difference between the two I posted but was leaning towards the GA-Z77M-D3H-MVP Micro ATX.

Thanks for any advice!

Either would do just fine, and you shouldn't run into any issues, another to look at would be http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131837, gives you room if you want to xfire/sli in the future (as it has 2 pci 3.0 slots vs the micro atx board you were looking at which has 1 3.0 slot, and the other being 2.0). The main difference between the two is form factor, number of pci slots, number of sata 6.0/3.0 slots the audio chipsets. usb 3.0 slots, and a few other minor things.
